Frontside Grind Session

Firing up the roaster for the fresh beans.

Had a great shoot with one of the best coffee shops, well in my humble opinion- in the country. The Frontside Grind knows that making coffee is an art and a craft. They roast all their own beans and thoroughly train their employees to a tee on how to make all espresso drinks with perfection. They’re getting stoked to launch their new website which will be clean, sharp, and heavy on some rad imagery. First I spent some time with owners Austin & Laura while they were in action roasting beans. After all was said and done there, we headed down to the coffee shop for some other shots in the shop. Here are a few from our session, and I’m psyched to see the final product!

Austin in action.

The beans out of the roaster and cooling off before they’re emptied out.

Austin on the half pipe in their backyard. Hence this passion being the inspiration for their coffee shops name.

Austin checking out the beans while they are roasting. Smell, sounds, time, and color all play a factor on how you roast different beans.

Latte & Homemade Donut. Yum.

The stages of the beans while they roast- catch my drift?
